PLANETS' CHARACTERISTICS

The planets wield different kinds of authority over the Rasis they are connected with. mesa is called the Exaltation- Uccahouse of the Sun, although that house belong to mars. the idea is that the Sun is very very strong in that house. Similarly the Ucca Rasis of the remaining six planets are respectively Vrsabha, Makara, Kanya, Karkataka, Mina and Tula.
Though these are the Exaltation houses, yet there is a particular dgree in them which is termed the highest Exaltation point. so far the seven planets beginning with the Sun the dgrees of heighest exaltation are in order the 10th, 3rd, 28th, 15th, 5th, 27th, and 20th in their respective exaltation Rasis. So you can call the Sun really Exalted if he is in the 10th degree of Mesa.

RASHI GYAN

भारतीय ज्योतिष में बारह राशियां होती हैं। प्रत्येक राशि ३० अंश की होती है। पृथ्वी के अक्षांश दक्षांश डिग्री अंश में हैं। सूर्य - पथ का भचक्र राशि नामावलियों में हैं। ठीक पृथ्वी की चाल, गति नापने की जो विधि अपनाई गई है , वह सूर्य पथ के लिए भी है। भचक्र सूर्य पथ को भी कहते हैं। सूर्य के साथ ग्रह नक्षत्र , तारे हैं। यह सौरमंडल कहलाता है। हमारे सिर पर लटका रहने वाला नीला आसमान ब्रमांड है।

इसका ना कहीं आदि है, ना अंत है। विज्ञानं मानता है कि इस ब्रमांड में अनेक सौरमंडल हैं, अनेक सूर्य हैं। अनंत कि दूरी नापने में ' अंक ' फ़ैल हो गए । अरबो कि संख्या असहाय हो गई। तब वैज्ञानिको ने दूरी नापने के लिए 'प्रकाश वर्ष ' का आविष्कार किया। ब्रमांड में प्रकाश कि गति सबसे तेज है। एक सेकंड में १,८६,२८२ मील पहुँच जाता है।

भचक्र को बारह राशियों में विभाजित किया गया है। उस भचक्र का एक-एक ग्रह उसका देवता बना दिया गया है और ग्रह के साथ नक्षत्रों का रिश्ता बना दिया गया। फ़िर बारह महीनो का नाम करण कर दिया गया।

भचक्र का केन्द्र सूर्य है। सूर्य जिस दिन भचक्र में प्रवेश करता है , राशिः में उसी दिन से सौरमास शुरू हो जाता है। सूर्य मास के आलावा चंद्र मास भी माना जाता है। इसमे में मास का नाम उस नक्षत्र पर आता है जो किसी मास की पूर्णमासी पर पड़ता है। सौर मास ३०-३१ दिन का होता है, जबकि चंद्र मास २७ से २९ दिन का होता है। चंद्रमा सबसे तेज गति में भ्रमण करता है। इस कारण संसार में पंचांग का भविष्य कथन सौर पद्धिति , चंद्र पद्धिति पर निर्धारित है। दोनों का उद्देश्य एक है, पर मार्ग अलग अलग है। हमारा ज्योतिष शास्त्र चंद्र पद्दिती पर आधारित है इसलिए चन्द्र-मास का प्रचलन भारतवर्ष में अधिक समय से चल रहा है।

प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के शरीर में इस प्रकार से बारह राशियों का निवास माना गया है। उसके शरीर का नियंत्रण, सञ्चालन यह राशियां अपने-अपने स्वामी ग्रहों के प्रभाव के अनुसार करती हैं। ग्रहों के विकिरण के फलस्वरूप शरीर के कौन कौन से अंग प्रभावित होतें हैं।

सभी राशियां एक निश्चित स्थान पर मानव शरीर में निवास करती है।

2. वृषभ शुक्र गला,चेहरा,कंठ
3. मिथुन बुध वक्ष, बाजू, चेहरा
4. कर्क चंद्रमा ह्रदय,सीना, फेफडे, कोहनी
5. सिंह सूर्य पेट , पीठ, हाथ का निचला भाग
6. कन्या बुध कमर, हाथ , पेट में जिगर , आँख
7. तुला शुक्र गुर्दे , पेट के नीचे योनी के समीप
8. वृश्चिक मंगल गुदा, योनी, लिंग
9. धनु गुरू जांघ , नितम्ब
10. मकर शनि दोनों घुटने
11. कुम्भ शनि नितम्ब , पैर
12. मीन गुरू पाँव , एडी

ज्योतिष शब्द का शस्त्रों में अर्थ है - वह विद्या जिसके द्वारा सौर मंडल में स्थित ग्रह, नक्षत्र आदि की गति , परिणाम दूरी आदि का माप किया जाता है, उसे ज्योतिष कहते हैं। ज्योतिष उस विद्या का नाम भी है , जिसके द्वारा नभ में स्थित ग्रहों के माध्यम से भूत , भविष्य तथा वर्तमान का सारा वृतांत जाना जा सकता है। ज्योतिष शास्त्र में सूर्य को आत्मा और चंद्र को मन कहा गया है। सूर्य और पृथ्वी के संबंधो का परिणाम है ऋतु चक्र और यह ऋतु चक्र स्रष्टि में परिवर्तन का मुख्या कारण है। अगर ऋतुओ का परिवर्तन न हो तो पृथ्वी पर से जीवन ही समाप्त न हो जाए। ज्योतिष का महत्त्व फलित से आँका जाता है। उसका नूल ढांचा ग्रह और नक्षत्र विज्ञानं पर टिका हुआ है। जातक के इतिहास का विवरण नक्षत्रों और ग्रहों पर आधारित है।

Planets and Profession

Pannets in 10th house, lord of the 10th house, those influencing Lagna, lord of lagna, the Sun and the Moon, are all significators of profession.
The sings occupied by the significators of profession also influence of profession.
Consideration of all the three lagnas_ Janam lagna, Chandra lagna and the Surya lagna is necessary। भेन्व्दाकर्तः । भ means janam lagna, इंदु means the Moon and अर्क the Sun. Planets having the gretest influence over these do indicate the professions.

Thus it is necessary to know the professions indicated by the different planets and by the signs first of all. Then these have to synthesised together. For this one has to study a good number of horoscopes. Also the same person will follow different occupations at different periods. For this, it would be necessary to examine dasha periods he will be running. The nature of the planets vary according to the aspects, conjuction, placement, the signs and houses of occupation, the Navamshas they occypy, the stars they occupy and so on.
Firstly we will broadly outline the jobs ascribed to each planet.
THE SUN :-
The Sun indicates government service, trees, timber, chanting of hymns, gambling, wool, medicine, metal work, gold, father, kings, fire arms, fire, poisons, and forests.
The Sun denotes government official, kings and administrators. One may be in a government service, or in the service of a noble man or king.
The Sun indicats one's father. When the Sun is connected with the 10th house. One may have income through his father. Or he may use his father's property as capital and thereby prosper. This can be so when the influence of the 9 or 5 falls on the Sun.
The Sun indicates medicines, and medical profession too. If it is a significator of proffession, by being connected with the 10th house, and other significantors (like Mars) also denote the same, one may take to medical profession.
Influence of Mars, Kethu etc. would indicate professions connected with fire and fire arms.
Influence of Jupiter, as lord of 9th house would point out to chantig of hymns and the profession of a priests. Or he may be employed in a mutt or a religious intitution. The reason for thisis, that the Sun is a satvic planet. Influence of the 12th house is also to be considered here. For the twelth house is said to have close connection with temples because the Sun indicates timber. When it is connected with the lord of the 4th house, one may be supplier of timber for house construction. Or he may be a furniture merchant as the fourth house signifies such matters.

Note: Each profession is signified by one or more planets. It is also signified by one or more houses. Thus the two indications(i.e of the planets and the houses) have to be blended together. Consideration should be done w.r.t. Lagna and Chandra lagna. In the present section, the significance of the planets is being given. it should be properly sythesised with the indications of houses and after careful judgement, final conclusion should be arrieved at.

RAJAYOGAS

In Astrological parlance the word rajayoga means a peculiar combination of planets at birth which confers special benefits such as honour,prosperity, power and success throughtout life in general and during the periods of the yoga producing planrts in particular. hence people generally associate the word Yoga with the significance of good fortune. There are many type of rajayogas but all of them are not equal power and substance, because the grade of the yoga depends on the state, position and strength of the planets concerned. The following are some of the Rajayogas leading to great opulence, authority and kingship:-

• If they be in 3rd ,4th and 5th bhavas.


• If the 7 planets be in the 7 bhavas viz,I , II, III, IV, V , VII and IX.


• Venus be in Vargottamamsa in pisces which is the ascendant.


• Two or three planets be in their exaltation signs, the Moon in cancer and the ascendant prossessed of full strength.

Note: A person born in a royal family can easily attain to a great position or kingship, but for an ordinary man to rise to that position the planetary position must be extra ordinary: If five or Six planets are strong and exalted without forbidden Amsas, and jupiter in the lagan, even an ordinary person will become a great monarch. That five planets were exalted when Shri Ramchandra was born.
